This year’s Agriculture Summit Africa (ASA) 2024, themed “From Scarcity to Security”, to be hosted by the Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, would feature distinguished line-up of leading agricultural experts and industry professionals from across the African continent.
The event takes place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja from November 11 to 12, 2024, beginning at 10am, daily. The summit provides an unparalleled opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on the future of food security, one of the most pressing issues facing the continent and galvanising action towards same.
Participants are expected to gain insights from experts and leading voices in agriculture, policy, and technology, who are driving change in agribusiness, food production, distribution, and sustainability; have opportunity to invest, collaborate and innovate by network with policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, and agricultural leaders.
They are to explore innovative solutions and strategies that would not only increase food availability, but ensure its sustainability for future generations. In shaping Africa’s agricultural future, the programme is further designed to contribute to shaping the policies and practices that would drive food security, agricultural development in Nigeria, and across the continent.
With the Vice President of Nigeria hosting, the summit promises to be a platform for transformative discussions and actionable outcomes that would propel Nigeria, and Africa toward a more food-secure future at the 7th edition of the Agriculture Summit, Africa.
ASA 2024 would bring together delegates from 30 countries to craft actionable plans for transforming Africa’s agriculture sector into a multi-trillion-dollar powerhouse.
The summit boasts an impressive lineup of speakers, including Nigeria’s Vice President Nigeria, Kashim Shettima; Group Chief Economist at Afreximbank, Yemi Kale; and Chief Executive Officer of the Africa Business Group, Michael Sudarkasa.
