The National Farmers’ Federation (NFF), the apex national body, representing farmers and agriculture across Australia is organising a 5-month mentoring and networking opportunity for women involved in agriculture with a passion for the industry and its future via its ‘Diversity in Agriculture Leadership Programme’.

Designed to support the NFF’s goal to double the number of women in agriculture leadership ranks and to make agriculture an inclusive industry for all by 2030, the programme offers unique opportunities and new experiences for women, who are looking forward to taking leadership to the next level. Key components of the programme include:

1. Attending a three-day leadership retreat in Canberra.

2. Being mentored by an established industry leader.

3. Developing personal and professional goals.

4. Engaging with industry influencers.

5. Joining an alumni network of peers across the country.

Participants are to come for a three-day leadership retreat in Canberra, from June 25 to 27, 2024, and completion of the programme for a graduation event, to be held alongside the NFF’s national conference in October. Participants would meet regularly with their mentors and take part in an online webinar series.  Application deadline is April 2024. Now in its seventh year, the  Diversity in Agriculture Leadership Programme, boasts of an alumni of 52 graduates, who have gone on to pursue high profile and impactful leadership positions and be change-makers within their community.  The programme is supported by leading agriculture-focused organisations that have joined NFF in making meaningful change towards gender diversity.
