Research has shown that seasons changes as times change, most especially, in a country like this that we are in. Hence, regarding the hydroponic system, it is gathered that the form of farming is a new method of cultivating plants by farmers such that plants planted are grown in water or sand culture without the use of sands.

While speaking in an interview session with a young man, Kabiru, he explains that in the hydroponic farming, seeds planted gain taps its energy from Light-Emitting Diode (LED), as they are usually planted in soil-free growth mediums such as coconut husks to provide the seedlings with a surface to attach its roots to. According to Kabiru, the method of farming is an easy one as it provides access to grow whatever you want, whenever you want it as an experienced farmer in the field. He added that the method of farming also helps in space saving when growing of plants because with the water and nutrients delivered directly to the roots, crops are given the opportunities to be situated close together thus creating rooms for more crops to grow in a smaller area when compared to traditional farming.

Another experienced farmer added that the farming system also helps in cost-saving. In his words, agricultural businesses are always researching ways to reduce overheads and to provide a more cost-effective product to their buyers. Thus, many farmers employ this farming system to reduce reliance on a large manual labour force. On the other hand, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), explains that the method is mostly practiced by physiologists or plants scientists. USDA noted that crops from hydroponic farming yield greater output vegetables and fruits as they give the ability to provide fresh, local food most especially for areas with extreme droughts and low soil quality.

The farming system equally provides plants with good protection in the aspect of security against harmful pests and microbial diseases and also eliminates crop vulnerability in plants which is of great importance to farmers to employ. With the hydroponic farming system, the risk of invasion by bugs and weeds into the growth environment are reduced. The hydroponic farming system is mostly practiced in the Sub Saharan Africa where access to leafy green vegetables are often limited. Ornamental crops are usually planted the most in this farming system. Such ornamental crops may include herbs, and multiple vegetable types like cucumbers, lettuce, peppers and tomatoes. Furthermore, it has been gathered that the hydroponic farming system also helps in preventing some agricultural problems farmers face with the traditional farming such as deforestation, droughts, erosion because this method helps to produce nutrient-rich plants, which are much faster without the use of pesticides.
