Grandson and grandfather’s tractor times has proved profitable for Curt Mottaz and Benji, his step-grandson. Benji, according to reports, had attended his first tractor pull when he was just two, as at February 2022, at the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky.

The proud grandfather, who drives a grain truck for Waller Farms in Marietta, Illinios, said that he was inspired to put into writing some of the adventures he and Benji had during their tractor times whenever he had work to do. Mottaz himself had grown up on the farm as child, being around tractors and tractor-pulling through his dad.

He noted that he had initiated the little boy by first showing him tractor-pulling on YouTube before he then took him to the National Farm Machinery Show even though, their times together have now inspired a good read for all children.

The children’s book is titled, “Benji n’ Dapa’s big tractor pull adventure”. Dapa is how Benji calls his grandfather in the book, which chronicles Mottaz’s and Benji’s trips on trucks and tractors; pulling the machines and loving the air around it.

Speaking on what motivated him, Mottaz said he started making jottings on his iPhone about their trips, adding that their times spent together was a powerful motivator. While the proud grandfather loves pulling silver bullet, the Super Stock Agco-Allis 6195, little Benji loves a John Deere.

These, alongside some illustrations, are contained in the book, as Mottaz concluded by stating that, while their adventures continues, Benji is beginning to fall in love with monster trucks!
