Inflation shot up by 0.47% to 21.83% in January 2023 after shading a few basis points in the month of December 2022, the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics has revealed.

This development on the part of food prices in the market has been linked to increasing prices of agricultural products.

Nigerians have suffered untold hardship as a result of fuel scarcity, limited cash from banks and other financial institutions as well as increase in the cost of food prices and other commodities. Expectations may have been dashed, business deals impeded, and loss of time and value experienced.
