Organisers of the ICT for Agriculture 2024 (ICTforAg 2024) programme, have announced the opening of registration for this year’s event. Taking place from May 28 to 30, the conference would be held in a hybrid format, offering attendees the opportunity to participate both in person and online. ICTforAg is an annual convening where agrifood system stakeholders, technology experts, and enthusiasts gather to share knowledge, find solutions, and form partnerships to address challenges in agrifood systems across low and middle-income countries.
This year’s event would be hosted in five locations around the world, including Los Baños, Philippines; Nairobi, Kenya; New Delhi, India; Texcoco, Mexico; and Washington DC, United States of America. Participants can choose to attend physically at one of these locations or virtually from anywhere with an Internet connection. While organisers encourage applicants to apply for in-person attendance, they said it is important to note that due to limited capacity at each venue, physical attendance is not guaranteed. However, those unable to secure in-person spots would be welcomed to engage virtually. Applicants can expect to receive confirmation of their attendance status within two weeks of submission.
