The International Youth Climate Delegate Programme (International YCDP) is offering 100 youth globally, the opportunity to attend the fully-funded 2023 international climate policy negotiation process. Talents between the ages of 18 to 35 by the end of the year have been encouraged to participate by applying for the Global Climate Change Summit, which would be holding in the United Arab Emirates, between November 30 to December 12, 2023. Youth who are residents of Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Small Island Developing States (SIDS), indigenous peoples and other minority groups around the world, are encouraged to apply.
The International YCDP, which runs from March to December 2023, is targeted at ensuring that youth views and proposals are fully integrated into global climate policymaking and dialogue, while also ensuring the building of youth skills, capacity, knowledge, and networks, particularly in the most-impacted countries, in order to engage in climate processes. Interested candidates should possess demonstrable commitment to and experience in climate and sustainability fields. Applicants are also encouraged to have at least two years of experience and/or education in sectors such as climate, energy, infrastructure, urban development, biodiversity and nature conservation, food and water systems, health, peace and security, education, humanitarian relief, transport, industry, finance, gender equality, and community engagement, among others.
